Cars in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Authorities reported they were notified by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a statement.

Police state they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.

The substance had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state preliminary tests indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to its source; investigators are not yet aware of any physical harm in relation with the event," they commented.

Local authorities said they were trying "to solve the incident" and have asked to the community for information.

A senior political figure said the attack rendered him speechless and needed to be solved quickly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist attack in 2020," he posted on online, recalling the death of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
